Lancaster County Indoor Play Areas that are FREE!

Have you ever needed to get out of the house and wanted a list of FREE indoor play areas to visit? In the wintertime its cold, the weather is often dreary, and with little kids you sometimes need a change of pace. So when you run out of Pinterest kids crafts ideas, and the weather is just too cold to visit a local outdoor playground, head to one of these FREE local indoor play areas.

FREE Indoor Play Areas in Lancaster County

Burger King

310 North Reading Road,
Ephrata

Includes a play area ideal for ages 3-8.

McDonalds

1434 Manheim Pike,
Lancaster, PA 17601

Includes air hockey, basketball, and both a toddler and bigger kids enclosed play area.

Park City Play Area

Located in the Food Court.

Includes numerous larger items to climb on. Perfect for kids ages 1-5 or so.

McDonald’s

301 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA 17602

Includes an air hockey table and a decent size play area in the unique shape of a tree.

Chik-fil-A

2467 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster, PA 17602

Includes a toddler and bigger kids play area. Probably best for kids 8 and under.

McDonald’s

5328 Lincoln Hwy, Gap, PA 17527

This one may be far, depending where you live, but I will say, its worth the trip! The play area is perfect for kids of all ages with an air hockey table, basketball shooting game, and a climbing maze that even has an airplane for kids pretend play!

SAVINGS TIP >> Save on your food purchases at these play areas by purchasing a discounted gift card through Raise.com!! We often save up to 15%. Also, new members get a $5 credit on their first purchase!

Indoor play areas (with a fee)

  1. Universal Kidmazium, 2323 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
  2. The Works in Wyomissing (although this is not in Lancaster, it is not a far drive from eastern Lancaster County) Includes an indoor arcade, play area, Ballocity and more! I recommended taking kids ages 4+ for the game room. I’ve never done the Ballocity portion but I think that is for younger kids. (They frequently offer 50% off deals on LocalFlavor and Avid Deals) Read about the date I had with my 4-year-old son at the Works—it gives a good overview of what a a child that age will enjoy the most.
  3. Tiny Town. Read our family’s completely honest review of TinyTown. (Occasionally LocalFlavor deals are offered.)
  4. SkyZone, 1701 Hempstead Rd #102, Lancaster, PA 17601. (Watch for deals on LocalFlavor and Groupon)
  5. Chuck E. Cheese’s,  2020 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. (Check their website before you go to print money saving coupons.)
  6. Hands On House, 721 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601
  7. Lancaster Science Factory, 454 New Holland Ave, Lancaster, PA 17602. (First Friday of every month there is FREE admission from 5-8pm)
  8. Laserdome, 2050 Auction Rd, Manheim, PA 17545. (They frequently offer 50% off deals on LocalFlavor and Avid Deals.)
  9. Spooky Nook Sports, 75 Champ Blvd, Manheim, PA 17545. Indoor rock climbing and many other options.
  10. That Bounce Place, 407 Granite Run Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601. Indoor inflatables and many other options, especially great for younger children (early elementary age and younger).
  11. Go N Bananas, 1170 Garfield Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601. (Find 50% off deals on LocalFlavor, but be quick because they sell out quickly when they are offered!)
  12. Fusion Gymnastics, 10 Citation Lane, Lititz, PA 17543. Friday Preschool Open Gym for $5/child (18mo-5 years old). From 9:30am-10:30am, or 10:30am-11:00am. You can check their website for discounts (they also often offer discounts if items are donated to a specific cause), Avid Deals offers special birthday packages or Local Flavor frequently offers special packages and coupons as well.
  13. Rocky Springs, 1495 Millport Road, Lancaster, PA. The whole family can have a blast at this newly remodeled facility. You’ll often find discounts on LocalFlavor, like $10 for $20 worth of Laser Tag and Avid Deals offers a $10 for $20 worth of anything including luxury lanes, laser tag and food.
  14. Xtreme Air Trampoline Park, Wyomissing. Always check Avid Deals and Local Flavor before you visit because you can usually find a coupon to get half-off your admission ticket.

And to make it even easier, here’s a map of all the FREE indoor play areas. (I’ve included an additional layer on the map for the fee based play areas that I also list below. You can turn that layer off and just see the free play areas if you click on this link.)
