Piccolo Friendly Movers {A Lancaster County Small Business}

Are you looking for some help in an upcoming move? Or maybe you need assistance moving a large table, desk or furniture item to a new location? Piccolo Friendly Movers, is a local Lancaster County family-business who makes moving fast, easy and hassle free. Their customers love their professionalism, friendliness and affordable rates.

Piccolo Friendly Movers are still in operation during the Covid-19 Quarantine, and following all the CDC recommended guidelines to help keep their customers at ease.

This photo shows a 400 pound, thick glass tabletop, with workers keeping up with the high standards of safety wearing masks, gloves and sanitizing all steps in the moving process. Their careful procedures are not out of the ordinary though—as you’ll conclude after reading just a few online reviews by local customers. Their clients have just come to expect this of them.

Personal Experience with Piccolo

Bridget, a Frugal Lancaster reader, recently used Piccolo Friendly Movers on her moving day. She describes the process in detail, and how she took her husband and kids out for breakfast and then three hours later everything was moved for her!! Read her story below.

After moving six times in a 10 year span, I knew I wanted to splurge on a moving company for my last hoorah, into my forever home. I’ve always been the frugal, do-it-yourself type, but this was money I would spend again and again.

I contacted several moving companies, and with this being a local move, I didn’t need the bells and whistles. Many movers were so booked out with high non-refundable deposits.

I was referred to Jeff Piccolo, of Piccolo Friendly Movers, by a family member. Not only was Jeff kind with a quick response, but also accommodating to the best of his ability as far as budget and timeframe.

Our moving day came. As ill-prepared and unorganized as I usually am, the four employees showed up and did not disappoint! We packed our things in boxes, per our preference and agreement, and they handled the rest. They disassembled our bedroom & kitchen furniture to assure safe transit. They wrapped our items in blankets to prevent any damage.

Once they had the assessment finished, I was able to step aside and let them handle the rest. Instead of doing the backbreaking lifting for days, or even hours on end, I took my husband and children out for breakfast and awaited the phone call to head to the new house to provide direction on where to put our items.

Three hours. Flat. From beginning to end. It was the most magical, stress-free moving that I’ve ever experienced.

Jeff does an outstanding job with hiring and training the right group of men who work together so wonderfully. It was a well-oiled machine. They were prompt and courteous.

I was pleased with the final bill, to the dot at what was estimated, and it only felt right to tip generously to the employees who did all of the grunt work.

Movers are worth their weight in gold. It was a real treat, and I would do it over and over again.

Affordable & Friendly

I haven’t used Piccolo because I haven’t had any moving needs, but after reading through all this positive feedback on his Facebook and Google pages, I am convinced I would make him our first choice.

Here’s just a few of the reviews I wanted to be sure to show you:
