Pick Your Own Apples: A Lancaster County Area Map and Pricing Guide starting at $.70/lb

I spent several hours calling local orchards and I was amazed to find out there are not very many places in Lancaster County where you can actually go apple picking! But there are several that are within an hours drive—and honestly, you might want to pick one and make a day of it. Many of the places have weekend festivals, special hay rides, mazes and other events!

To pick your own apples it costs $.85/lb. You can also pick your own pumpkins for approx. $.99/lb.

Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site

Pick over 30 varieties of apples. Open from 9am to 5pm through mid October. After October 15, they are only open Wednesday through Sunday.

Brown’s Orchard

To pick your own apples you pay by the box/bag, depending how much you pick. Prices start around $7 for 1/2 peck. You can also pick your own pumpkins. Hayrides are a small fee. You do not need to take a hayride to pick your pumpkins or apples. Located at their Yellow Church Road farm location. Open Mon-Sat from 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-4pm. Pick your own apples/pumpkins hours are Thursday and Friday 9am-2pm, and Sat. & Sun. 9am-5pm.
