It All Began With Paint is based in Ephrata and features handpainted signs and meaningful decor.

Val loves creating things and doing it in her home! Making candles has been her most recent endeavor. In her younger years she collected old bottles that she found in the woods behind her house.

She has always found jars and containers intriguing....but what to put in them? Candles are great fun because once they burn down you can reuse the glass jar for something else! ...and endless scents never get boring! She hopes you enjoy browsing her shop. A self taught artist, and not someone who likes to follow the rules, I started designing my own crochet patterns in 2007. With lots of practice, trial, and error, I have honed my skills to what they are today....and I never stop learning or trying new things!

I have always loved photography and capturing that moment in time and being able to share it with those close to me. Now I share those moments with everyone for all to enjoy.

The sewing side of me came from my great grandparents. They made hundreds of quilts together, each doing their own unique part. Another one of my great grandmothers sewed Cabbage Patch doll clothing. So what can I say I must have been destined to sew!

Growing up I began to collect material hoping to one day make something great from it like they had with all of their quilts. As the pile of fabric grew, I knew I needed to get to it. Whether I see a piece of fabric and know the perfect project right away or it sits on my shelf for a few months or years, each item gets made into something beautiful that I am now sharing with you.

My husband and I adopted her at age 9 knowing she had severe arthritis. She sadly was only with us for 6 months before crossing the rainbow bridge. I have dedicated my shop to her.

Hi, my name is Grace and I'm 11 years old and in fifth grade. I am the owner of this Etsy shop, "themoonandbackcrafts". I love swimming, school, riding my bike and having fun with my family. I also love crafting. I turned in my love of making things into helping others too!

I started when I was about four years old. I set up a stand at my preschools' holiday craft show and sold reindeer food to raise money for my preschools' library. This is now my signature item at Christmas! Once my first show ended, I knew I wanted to do it again.

Then, when I was about five, I went to kindergarten in a new school and still did the craft show again. Only I donated all my proceeds to kids in need. I have continued ever since! This year the craft show was canceled, so I decided to find another way to sell my things instead of just selling them once a year. I decided to make an Etsy Shop!

My shop came about to my surprise. I started making our baby block sets when I had so many baby showers to go to one summer. Then from there I found store in Strasburg, PA to sell them in and it just grew from there as I stepped out and created this Etsy shop! The next year I expanded to photo block puzzles, using the many engagement photos I had of weddings to come- of course from there, our photo blocks expanded too!

Although I could not do all this without my wonderful husband, cutting the blocks for me from recycled wood, and making sure I have the sizes I need OR the blessing of God as He has just taken this small business further than I expected!

We have been local for years, part of the Manheim chamber of commerce in the past, and we closed our brick and mortar stores in Lititz in 2011 and our Manheim one in 2012, and our stand in the Green Dragon in 2017, all under the dba of The Wizards Hat.
