5 Ways to Quickly Save at Target

1. Print Manufacturer Coupons

Before you head out, take a quick look through this list of manufacturer coupons valid at Target. I love how they have them easily listed with the expiration date at the bottom. Some are printable coupons, some are ones that you can find in your Sunday newspaper.

2. Use the Target Cartwheel App

Download the Target Cartwheel App to your phone and use it at checkout. Check the deals before you head to the store, just to make sure you don’t have any manufacturer coupons you’d like to combine with the Cartwheel discount.

You’ll often find great deals just with the Cartwheel app, like this Kashi Chocolate Crunch Cereal at Target for $1.94 with Cartwheel.

3. Print Target Exclusive Coupons

On the Target webpage, you’ll find printable coupons that can only be used at Target. (They also have some manufacturer coupons you can print there too.) Browsing by category helps me to find the coupons I’m interested in the fastest. You can also sort by coupon value – which is nice if you’re looking for higher value coupons.

*You can stack a Target coupon with a manufacturer coupon and a Cartwheel coupon!

4. Buy Discounted Target Gift Cards

Did you know that places like Raise.com regularly offer up to 6% off Target gift cards? Plus you earn an additional 1% cash back on the purchase of your gift card if you are signed up for Ebates! Thats a better deal than using a Target RedCard, which will save you 5%.

Use the gift card for all your purchases. Better yet, if you keep track of your monthly spending at Target, get the highest value gift card you can to earn the most savings. And just keep using the gift card week after week on your purchases (particularly if you do your grocery shopping there at Target).

Get $5 off your first Raise.com purchase!

5. Sign up for a Target RedCard

You can link the Target RedCard directly to your checking account so it acts like a debit card and you still save 5% on your purchases! Plus you get FREE shipping and an extra 30 day return guarantee on most online orders.

And a few more saving tips . . .

  • If you are shopping online, you can use all of the above coupons, PLUS be sure to sign up for Ebates and earn an extra 1% cash back.
  • Use the Target Pharmacy and receive extra 5% or more savings coupons in the mail.
  • Ask for a raincheck if you see an item at a price you really wanted but there are no more on the shelf. Then on your next trip, you can get that item for the same price you saw it at today.
  • Watch for signs in the store or in their circular, with special weekly/monthly saving offers on things like household items. For instance you might save an extra 20% on all organizing purchases over $20.
