14 Things to Do on President’s Day Weekend in Lancaster County

Can you believe it is suppose to be 60 degrees in Lancaster County on President’s Day weekend? Enjoy this list of ideas to help you brainstorm frugal things you can do with your family or spouse for a date night this President’s Day Weekend!

  1. Lititz Fire & Ice Festival. Enjoy ice sculptures, food, games and family fun all weekend. Visit the facebook event page for all the details.
  2. Go on a Day Trip. Friday night, the Port Discovery museum in Baltimore is featuring a $2 Family Fun Night!
  3. Explore the Outdoors. The weather is suppose to be absolutely gorgeous this weekend—in the 60s! Enjoy a picnic at a local park or playground. (You can also consider an indoor play area.)
  4. Visit a National Park. On Monday, all national parks are featuring a FREE Entry Day.
  5. Go shopping. President’s Day is well known for special sales—especially if you are looking for furniture. You can save at Tanger Outlets with this coupon. If you shop online, be sure to use Ebates or Honey to help you apply the best coupons and savings. And be sure to check Amazon, they have had some good President’s Day sales in the years past.
  6. Bring Your Favorite Pet to The Love Your Pet Event. On February 20th from 11am to 3pm at That Fish Place– That Pet Place, you can give your pets an extra special day of pampering AND spoiling & show them just how loved they really are!
  7. Meet Winter Princess Guests at Wilbur Chocolate. Winter Princesses will be stopping by Wilbur Chocolate for a visit during Lititz Fire & Ice Festival from 6PM-8PM on Friday.
  8. Visit ZooAmerica on Friday. They are offering $6 admission on Fridays in February!! To get a taste of what you will see there, watch this short video.
  9. Winter Wonderland Carnival at Warwick High School. Rides, Face painting, jugglers, balloon artists, games, food and MORE! Perfect for a winter Saturday to get out with the family. Enjoy the Carnival INSIDE and then head downtown to see the ice sculptures and enjoy the shops and restarurants in downtown Lititz. More info on their facebook page.
  10. Go on a Family Outing. Maybe you want to go bowling, play some laser tag, or take the family ice skating. (All of these things you can do for 50% off by using coupons at the corresponding links!)
  11. Visit the Motoroma 2017 Show. Motoroma is held at the PA State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
  12. Lebanon Valley Indoor Classic Tractor Expo. At the expo you will find all brands of lawn & garden tractors, farm tractors, and antique machinery will be shown—restored and unrestored. FREE parking, catered food, lots of exhibits & seminars.
  13. Treat yourself to a date night. Home United Methodist in Ephrata is having a Parent’s Night Out fundraiser. Drop your kids off from 5-8pm. Cost is $15 for first child, $10 for second child, and $5 for each additional child. All children ages 6 months to 12 years old are welcome.
  14. Visit the Hershey Chocolate Factory FREE Tour. Check out our video of the full ride here.
