FREE Admission to Lancaster Barnstormer Fan Fest {April 15, 2017}

The Lancaster Barnstormers are asking their fans to get their taxes done before the deadline in order to come out and enjoy spring training baseball on Saturday, April 15.

That afternoon, the Barnstormers will host the annual Fan Fest Game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. The game will serve as the centerpiece of an entire free afternoon of family fun at the ballpark where both the regular and casual fans can get that first taste of summer and a preview of Ross Peeples’ first squad as the Barnstormers’ manager.

FREE Samples and Cheap Food

Not only can people experience baseball on the 15th, they can plan on having lunch at the ballpark. Hot dogs and fountain Pepsis will be served for $1.00 each. For dessert, free samples of Turkey Hill ice cream products will be handed out at the gate.

Entertainment begins even before the fans pass through the stadium gates as the Burli-Q’s will be performing in front of the stadium, beginning at 11:15.

The family will be able to play catch in the stadium outfield prior to the game and get autographs from the latest edition of Lancaster’s professional baseball team.

FREE Kids Fun

Kids can also enjoy during Fan Fest will be balloons from Balunguy, a caricature artist, and, of course, the kids play area in full operation. They will also be able to make their first 360-foot trip around the bases of 2017.

Adults in the audience can relax with a massage from Family Chiropractic and stroll along the concourse to receive informative materials from several of the Barnstormers business partners.

Gates will open at noon. The first pitch will be thrown at 1:00 PM.

Lancaster will host two additional spring training games without all the trimmings. On Thursday, April 13 at 5:00, the Barnstormers will take on the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College in their annual meeting. The third and final spring tuneup for the Barnstormers at Clipper Magazine Stadium will be on Tuesday, April 18 when the club will entertain the York Revolution at 1:00.

“Fan Fest is a great opportunity to take the family out to the ballpark and make some great memories on the field before the game and meet the 2017 Barnstormers,” said general manager Mike Reynolds. “We hope everyone takes advantage of this opportunity and joins us to ring in the new baseball season.”
