JB Hostetter and Sons in Mount Joy is celebrating their 90th anniversary in 2017. Founded in 1927 by Joseph B Hostetter, this hardware store is currently run by the third generation of the Hostetter family.
As a thank you to their loyal customers, JB Hostetter will offer giveaways at the store each month throughout 2017, as well as grand prizes including a French door refrigerator, lawn tractor, and more!

A Little History about JB Hostetter and Sons
JB Hostetter and Sons was founded in 1927 by Joseph B Hostetter. After a successful farming career, he purchased Gabe Moyer’s Hardware Store on West Donegal Street in Mount Joy. Two years later, the company acquired Brown Brothers Hardware on Main Street in Mount Joy.
As the store grew, it added appliances, televisions, and joined the True Value Hardware Coop. In 1984, the stores were combined into what is now a 64,000 square feet location on West Main Street.
JB Hostetter and Sons is now run by Jack and Kent, the third generation of the Hostetter family to manage the business. They carry on their grandfather’s legacy for customer service, dependable staff, and large selection of products.
