Pick Your Own Peaches in Lancaster County

The peach season is always predicted to be a sweeter one when there is extreme heat during the summer. In the Lancaster County area, you’ll find at least six places to pick your own peaches and/or nectarines. Most places start offering picking for some varieties in mid-July, but you’ll be able to pick until late-summer well into September, maybe even October.

1. Cherry Hill Orchards Outlet (Lancaster).

Cherry Hill is now picking yellow and white peaches. Peach/Apple picking hours are: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Saturdays 9am-4pm CLOSED Sundays!
Pick Your Own peaches/apples is located on Long Lane just west of our outlet store. Call (717) 872-9311.


2. Masonic Village Farm Market (Elizabethtown).

Starts 7/27 and continues until late September. Price is $1.25/lb. Open 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. & Sunday 12-3pm, but picking is only available on these dates.


3. Brecknock Orchard Farm Market (Mohnton).

Starts 7/21 and goes until 9/8. Price is $1.50/lb for 20lb or more and $2.25/lb for under 20lb. FREE bottled water for all PYO customers!

Containers available, or bring your own. Wagons available for taking children and containers to and from the field. Open Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri  8am – 7pm, Wednesday  & Saturday  8am – 5pm, Sunday Closed.

Brecknock has an extensive list on their website of all their peaches and when each type is best for picking or will be available in their market.

4. First Fruits Farm (51 Cocalico Creek Road, Stevens).

CLOSED IN 2019 DUE TO CROP FAILIURE FROM THE COLD WINTER. Starts 7/17 and continues through August. Open Mon-Friday from 8am to 8pm. You can fill a half-peck bag for $10, or a half of a bushel for $25. This is a super-cute little place near Ephrata, definitely worth checking out for strawberries in June too!


5. Weaver’s Orchard (Morgantown).

The Weaver’s Orchard peach season is mid/late July to late August (early September in the market). They are open Mon-Friday 8-6 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. (Last admittance a half hour before close each day.) Wristbands are needed to pick and are free Monday-Thursday, excluding holidays and are $2 on Fridays, Saturdays & Holidays.

Here is the pricing for 2019.

Peaches & Nectarines:

  • $1.39/lb. 24 lbs. or over
  • $1.99/lb. under 24 lbs.

Donut Peaches:

  • $2.39/lb. over 25 lbs.
  • $2.99/lb. under 25 lbs.

6. Flinchbaugh’s Orchard (York). 

  • August 3 and 10 from 9am-2pm
  • Varieties for Picking:
    • August 3: Loring and Sunhi
    • August 10:  Gloria
  • Pricing:
    • $24 for a 1/2 bushel (22-24 lb)
    • $12 for a 1/2 peck (10-12 lb)

7. Brown’s Orchard (Seven Valleys).

Usually starts around 7/20. Open Mon-Sat 8am-7pm; Sun 8am-5pm. Price is $8/half peck (approx. 12)or $20/half bushel (approx. 45). Special kids Pick & Learn events with Mary Brown throughout the season. Kids pick fruit, learn how the fruit grows, listen to a story and enjoy a fruit treat. $10 per child, limited seating, reservations required. Call before you go: 717-428-2036
