One of the most exciting aspects of this blog, is the opportunity I get to support local shopping. There truly are some hidden secrets in Lancaster County! One of those is Good’s Store. You probably know of them as the store next to Shady Maple, but they also have locations in Quarryville, Schaefferstown and Ephrata.
Good’s Store offers a genuine Pennsylvania Dutch shopping experience complete with friendly service, low prices and unique merchandise. Good’s Store has been in operation for over 60 years—in fact, I remember visiting Good’s regularly as a child (long before the days of Walmart in our area!)
Did you know that Good’s recently launched an eCommerce store—making it even easier for shoppers to support local businesses while online?!
They don’t yet offer the selection that’s available in their brick-and-mortar stores, but they do stock quite a few customer favorites. I took the time to pick a few of my favorites and highlighted them below.

The first thing homemakers will likely get excited about is Good’s online selection of fabrics. I felt their site made it really simple to search, view and order different patterns to your liking. I personally would find this very handy for sewing projects, so I wouldn’t need to walk around a store shopping with little kids.
Men will be equally as ecstatic about the online selection of Carhartt jackets and attire. (Please note that all Carhartt items are priced at the same price as their brick and mortar stores, and since these prices are lower than allowed online, you won’t see the actual discounted price until checkout.)
And of course, as frugal readers, you’re more than likely tempted by Good’s promotional items and sales page (or at least tempted to browse the deals).
Here were some of my personal favorites finds at Good’s Online Store—essential oils, oil diffusers, home decor, and Mason Jar accessories.
Good’s Online Store definitely didn’t have everything I was looking for, like books or pet food, which would be some things that many people could be looking to have delivered—but overall, you’ll find some favorite items, and some authentic Lancaster County gift ideas that can easily be shipped and delivered to your friends and family—all without needing to leave your home.
Do you see those Tricky Dogs? I don’t know if you can find them many places anymore (maybe you can and I’m clueless)—but those dogs were my siblings and mine favorite toy of choice whenever we had to sit quietly somewhere as children! So much fun!!

Good’s online store has very generously offered Frugal Lancaster readers a special 10% off discount coupon, use the code READERFRUGAL10, between now and October 31, 2018. One time per customer. This code is only available online, not in their actual stores.
Frugal Insider Tip: Good’s Online Store sells everything for the same prices as their brick-and-mortar stores, even though some of their companies (like Carhartt, Carolina boots, Ariat, Wigwam, Darn Tough, VHC brands, etc ) don’t allow them to display such low prices on their product and cart pages (closeouts are an exception). However, they still wanted to offer their everyday prices to online shoppers—so on products from these brands, website shoppers don’t see actual prices until the checkout page.
