Why We Love Shopping at Grocery Outlet {Spring Valley Road, Lancaster}

The Spring Valley Road Grocery Outlet is owned and operated by the Maenner Family—that’s one of my favorite things about this discount grocery store. Every purchase made is supporting a local family who puts their whole heart into their business.

At Grocery Outlet, you’ll find name brand groceries for 40-70% less than conventional grocery stores. This makes for great prices!

Our family visited Grocery Outlet a few weeks ago for the first time, and we were amazed at what we found. Along with some photos we want to share with you 5 Reasons Why We Love Shopping at Grocery Outlet.

1. Terrific Prices

The number one reason we love shopping at Grocery Outlet is pretty obvious I suppose—they have great prices on everything from meat to produce to low carb snacks to lunch items to desserts.

2. Very Friendly Staff

The staff was incredibly friendly. Typically in Lancaster County you’ll find pretty good customer service wherever you shop, but wow, this was an entirely different atmosphere.

The cashier for the line we were in was genuinely concerned with putting the customers first at all times, going the extra mile to talk gently and kindly to direct people to where they could be helped the fastest. You could tell the employees were loved and treated well by their employer and it made us want to keep coming back and shopping there again and again!

3. Offers Unique Selection

It’s amazing what you’ll find at Grocery Outlet Rohrerstown. Everything from grits, to goat milk ice cream, to polenta, to fig spread, and even Lancaster Local A2A2 Milk.

And it’s not just food that they sell. We were excited to find bento lunch boxes, trendy tea kettles for less than $10, fancy glass jars at half price, games and more.

4. Grocery Outlet Supports the Community

The owners support the community with their business, frequently hosting fundraisers like hot dog sales on the weekends to raise money for local organizations and non-profits. This past weekend they were selling hot dogs to support the Arch Street Center.

5. Daily Emails

It might sound funny that I love getting daily emails from a discount grocery store, but I have truly found this useful. I can quickly and easily check the email to see if there is anything I really want. If I don’t have time to go that day, I can just delete the email and read the next one.

If you never like to miss a great deal, I think you’ll really enjoy the email updates and sale alerts!

Where is Grocery Outlet (Spring Valley Road)?

This Grocery Outlet is located at 2108 Spring Valley Road, Lancaster (next to the CVS and Women’s & Babies Hospital).

The best ways to stay in touch with Grocery Outlet and its owners are to follow them on Facebook, on Instagram or view their weekly circular online where you can also sign up for their emails.
