It was last summer that I got hooked on the Peapod grocery delivery program. It was largely because of the simplicity of the process, and the friendliness of the staff. Everyone at Giant is always so friendly and helpful—no matter what the issue may be!
Over the past year, I have used Peapod here and there, just depending on my schedule, but here’s why I would use them all the time if my schedule allowed it.
Here are 5 things I love about Peapod Online Ordering that I’m thinking you will probably love too!
1. Loaded Coupons & Weekly Specials
I’m all about saving every dollar I can, and Peapod makes this easy for me. They’ll let me stack 6 different types of coupons and savings with each order, including manufacturer coupons, digital coupons, circular coupons and Peapod coupons!
I can also use my regular cash back saving phone apps like Fetch Rewards. This makes me happy. 🙂 It really does add up!
Have I mentioned already that I love savings and deals? Every week, Peapod also offers unique specials. I have even found discounted meat that isn’t advertised anywhere else!
2. Browse Aisles
If there is one thing I hate, its wasting time. Its a hard switch for me to go from shopping aisles in the store to online ordering, but Peapod makes it less painful by offering a simple Browse Aisles feature where you can quickly find the category of food you’re looking for.
I also love that with online ordering you can speed things up a lot by searching for what you want to order. Oh how I love saving time!
3. Order Genius
This fun little tab automatically keeps track of my previous orders and makes recommendations for me based on what I bought and when. I love how it finds items just for me—and truthfully, it really is pretty accurate in its suggestions.
I can also quickly reorder anything that I previously ordered by checking the Previous Orders tab. This comes in very hand if you are making a repeat recipe!
4. View Substitute
It might sound silly that I like this feature, but its super convenient to know ahead of time that they are out of the item I need to order (I’ve heard horror stories with other stores where an item is out of stock and then the shopper either gets nothing or something they don’t like).
I just click on the View Substitute button, and I’m shown a whole variety of optional replacement items!
5. Meal Suggestions
I absolutely love variety in the types of meals I serve my family, but it can take so much time to always be looking up new recipes! Which is why I love that Peapod offers meal suggestions. I can search through a variety of meal categories like:
- Weeknight Wonders
- Hearty Meals
- Just Desserts
Then after I find the recipe I want to try, it will show me the recipe and pull up an entire list of groceries to go along with that specific recipe. I can choose whether or not to add it to my cart, based on what I have in my pantry.
These are typically a little out of my price range, but PeaPod also offers meal kits—where they will package everything I need for a meal together. Kind of like you’re getting Hello Fresh or HomeChef box delivered. 🙂
